Custom Heat Sinks & Thermal Assemblies, Engineered to Spec
Cooling is where dense electronics succeed or fail. P&A International engineers, prototypes and delivers custom heatsinks and complete thermal assemblies — extruded, skived, bonded-fin, folded-fin, die-cast and forged, plus integrated heat-pipe assemblies up to 600 W per pipe — designed exactly to your power, envelope and target cost.
As an engineering-led contract manufacturer founded as an engineering consultancy, we assign one dedicated engineer to your project from thermal review to free off-tool samples with quality-assessment reports, then scale into volume through our vetted partner-factory network, where every supplier is ISO 9000 certified or better.

What we deliver

Extruded heatsinks
6063 aluminium extruded fin profiles, cut, machined and anodised to your design. The low-cost, high-volume workhorse for most cooling tasks.

Skived & bonded-fin
High fin density from a single billet (skived) or tall, dense bonded fins for large footprints beyond extrusion limits.

Die-cast heatsinks
Complex 3D shapes with integrated mounting and shrouding features, ideal for LED and enclosure cooling at volume.

Heat-pipe assemblies
Copper heat pipes embedded into fin stacks and baseplates to move and spread heat from concentrated, high-power sources.
Engineering capability
- Thermal design — heat-load analysis, target thermal resistance, airflow and orientation effects
- Process selection — extruded, skived, bonded-fin, folded-fin, die-cast or forged to suit fin density and cost
- Heat-pipe & vapor-chamber integration for high heat-flux spreading
- Base flatness and thermal-interface engineering (TIM, gap pads, direct contact)
- Finishing — black/clear anodise, chromate, painting, masking
- Machining — tapped holes, counterbores, flatness and parallelism tolerances
- DFM review to hit target cost while preserving thermal performance
- Free off-tool samples with quality-assessment reports before any volume order

Why engineers & buyers choose PA
For design engineers
A true thermal-design partner — one dedicated engineer, heat-load analysis and process selection, base-flatness and interface engineering, and assemblies optimised for thermal resistance, weight and cost. We routinely add heat pipes or vapor chambers where extruded fins alone cannot reach the target.
For purchasing
Low-risk scalability — free off-tool samples before mass production, flexible MOQ from one-off to high volume, target-cost DFM, a single point of contact, and a vetted ISO 9000+ partner network managed end-to-end by P&A. No hand-offs, no surprises.
3 easy steps to get started
Send us your spec
Share your heat load, envelope and drawing — or just the problem. One dedicated engineer reviews it and pins down the cooling requirement.
Proposed design & quote
You promptly receive a proposed heatsink design and indicative pricing — typically within 48 hours — to review and refine together.
Samples & production
Free off-tool samples with quality-assessment reports. On approval, your order is produced through our partner network, inspected, packaged and shipped.
Applications

Choosing the right heatsink process
A few early decisions shape every heatsink — sharing this detail lets us quote and prototype faster:
| Natural vs forced | Natural convection needs more fin area and vertical fins; forced air allows denser fins — tell us the airflow (CFM) and orientation. |
| Process | Extrusion is the low-cost default; skived and bonded-fin reach higher fin density; die-cast adds 3D features; forged suits round LED coolers. |
| Spreading | Large footprint with a small, intense source → add heat pipes or a vapor chamber to move heat across the fin field. |
| Interface | Base flatness and the thermal-interface material often matter as much as the fins — specify both. |
| Weight | Extruded and skived 6063 give the best cooling-per-gram; die-cast trades some conductivity for integrated features. |
What to send us for a fast, accurate quote
The more of this you can share, the quicker we can return a proposed design and price:
- Power to dissipate (W), heat-source size and location
- Maximum component/case temperature and ambient range
- Cooling mode — natural convection or forced air (with CFM)
- Mechanical envelope: max height, footprint, fin direction, mounting
- Target cost and annual volume or call-off pattern
- Any reference design or physical sample
Working from a reference part or a sample is fine — our engineer will analyse it and design a drop-in equivalent to your specification.
